At Shalom Coffee Roasting, we want to bless our fellow coffee consumers by sourcing the world's choicest coffees, roasting them to their highest potential, and sharing them fresh to be enjoyed, all while purposing to create an environment that brings folks together.
Shalom is Hebrew for peace, and it is our hope to serve as channels of that peace through connection and delicious coffee.
Our Story
My brothers and I founded Shalom Coffee Roasting in the spring of 2024, with one simple goal in mind: to enjoy fresh, delicious coffee on a daily basis and to share it with those around us.
Everything we do we enjoy doing together. And although we've enjoyed making coffee together for some years now, it's played a particularly special role in Zac's story.
In the fall of 2021, Zac became a quadriplegic after breaking his C5/6 in a surfing accident in our hometown, rendering him virtually paralyzed from the chest down, with limited strength and dexterity in his arms and hands.
Zac's road to recovery has been long, as he slowly regains his independence through hard work and persistent patience.
After spending months in various hospitals across the country, sure enough, making coffee was one of the very first things Zac was able to relearn to do on his own.
Today, coffee has become a channel for Zac to develop and display his God-given talents as we seek to provide excellence in our craft.
